Tips for Improving SEO on Your Website

Hey {{ person.first_name|default:'Beauty Boss' }},

Last week, I spent a decent amount of time improving SEO on my website. If you aren't sure what SEO stands for, it's search engine optimization. In simple terms, it's specific keywords or phrases that people search for online. When you do this well, your products are discovered organically by anyone searching online.

SEO is a long-term strategy. It’s a way to generate traffic without posting or running ads. That said, it shouldn't be your only strategy, because it takes time to build.

The better SEO, the more Google recognizes your business for that search item. The better your SEO, the higher you rank on search engines, so instead of showing up on the 10th page of Google, you may show up on the 2nd or 3rd page.

Here are some places you should consider adding SEO:

Home page -
Meta title and description for your website

Product page - Add SEO into your product descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and meta tags

Blog post - Write blog posts that people are searching for. Add SEO throughout the posts while keeping a natural flow.

Collection pages - Insert SEO within the description and title (if possible) (note: you can hide the description on your website)

Lastly, adding backlinks helps to improve SEO performance. Backlinks are links from other websites to yours, and they act like “votes of trust” in Google’s eyes. The more quality sites that link to you, the more Google sees your site as helpful and trustworthy, which can help you show up higher in search results.

So how do you get started with all this?
You can do this by yourself with AI support, hire someone, or use an app that integrates with your website. What has worked best for me is using an app called SEO WILL. It’s $29 a month, and it helps you find keywords, write blog posts and product descriptions, and apply for backlinks. This, combined with using AI for copywriting and finding keywords has been the best combo for me.

In the last 12 months, I’ve been able to move from spot 25.6 to 12.7 on Google. Imagine if you spent 1 hour per week working on SEO for the next 10 months.

Pro tip: Get your business connected to Google Search Console. This will help you identify your website performance and identify keywords, among other insights. If you need help, you can find the exact instructions by asking ChatGPT to provide you a step by step dummy proof manual to connect your site to Google Search Console.

I hope this was helpful. I will be Live on Instagram this afternoon to talk more about SEO and answer any questions you may have. If you can't make it the replay will be posted on YT.

With love,
